What rights does the Golden Visa give in the EU?

The Spanish Golden Visa provides several valuable rights within the EU: 1) Schengen travel — visa-free travel throughout the 27 Schengen Area countries for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. 2) Right to live and work in Spain — you and your family can live, work, and start businesses in Spain. 3) Access to Spanish healthcare and education systems. 4) Path to permanent residency — after 5 years of legal residence, you can apply for long-term EU residency, which gives you the right to live and work in any EU country. 5) Path to citizenship — after 10 years of residence, you may apply for Spanish (EU) citizenship, though Spain generally requires renouncing other nationalities (with some exceptions for Ibero-American countries).

Note: the Golden Visa does not automatically give you the right to work in other EU countries — only in Spain.
