What is the weather like on the Costa Blanca?

The Costa Blanca enjoys one of the best climates in Europe, with over 300 days of sunshine per year and an average annual temperature of 18-20°C.

The World Health Organization has recognized the Torrevieja area as having one of the healthiest microclimates globally.

Seasonal breakdown: Summer (June-September): hot and dry, 28-35°C, rarely humid.

Autumn (October-November): warm and pleasant, 18-25°C, occasional rain — the most rainfall occurs in September-October (gota fría events).

Winter (December-February): mild, 10-18°C during the day, rarely below 5°C at night.

Some homes may need heating for a few weeks.

Spring (March-May): beautiful, 16-25°C, flowers blooming, ideal for outdoor activities.

The Costa Blanca South is slightly warmer and drier than the North.

Rainfall averages only 300mm per year (compared to 1,200mm+ in London).

The climate is a major factor in the health benefits and quality of life that attract thousands of Northern Europeans annually.
